When beginning a cardiovascular fitness program, you should always set reasonable goals, follow all guidelines, and partake in a program you can actually stick with. Walking, swimming, biking, and many types of traditional sports are great cardio options. Remember, any type of activity that raises the heart rate, and causes you to build up a good sweat is going to provide cardio benefits. Make sure the activity is something you take pleasure in so that you will want to continue with your workout. If you become bored, you will not stick with the program, which means you will not be getting the much needed health advantages of cardiovascular exercise.
