Fat Loss 4 Idiots Review Basics:
|
Overview |
|
Fat Loss 4 Idiots is an incredibly popular diet at the moment, you get access to a membership area where you can read the system online and access a meal generator, or you can download the diet(s) you purchased (the upgraded version gives you another system you can follow). We looked at the main pdf first and it gives you a set of guidelines to follow in order to lose weight. It mentions in the guide that the system is a ‘casual’ system for people not that concerned about following a strict diet, and that the meals generated by the online software are for a slightly different diet that will get faster results but you have to stick to what they tell you to eat. So overall with that first pdf we were not impressed, the rules are given to you and not really backed up by any scientific facts where needed, there is no real plan to follow so it is too easy to stop following it, and they also tell you to do an hour of walking a day (which most of us don’t have time for!), fortunately with the other two diets then you don’t have to exercise if you don’t want to. But then we looked at the online meal generator and the second diet. Now when you go into the software you get a new set of rules for a slightly different diet, then after reading that you access the software, choose your favourite foods out of a list of 46 different ones, and then the software generates a plan for you to follow based on those choices. It gives you a page you can print out which lists every meal for every day of the plan (4 meals a day) and what it should contain, plus at the bottom it reminds you about some of the most important rules of the diet so when you print it off you have it all in one bundle. This was much better than the pdf, it gives you a structure to follow, you can tick everything off as you go, it allows you to avoid foods you don’t like and it even allows you one glass of wine per day (not recommended but yes allowed). It works on a 14 day cycle so you follow the plan for 11 days, then take 3 days off to eat normally, then go back on the diet if you need to, and you can generate a new set of meal plans if you want or keep the one you just did. We also purchased the upgrade which gives you their new ‘Beyond Calories’ 28 page digital guide about another diet they have come up with, which advocates 6 meals a day and gives you a ten day plan where they split a big list of foods into 4 groups, then they tell you which food groups to use for each meal and how many different types from each group. This is supposed to be another great way to lose weight – but is it really necessary when you have the main diet anyway? Both the Diet Handbook and the Beyond Calories guide give you tips on how to eat healthily after you reach your target weight which is a nice touch. Also the meal generator has a vegetarian version which again is a nice touch. |

What’s included? |
|
There are two levels to the system. The normal level gives you the 45 page Diet Handbook plus unlimited access to the meal generator. The upgrade gives you all that plus the 28 page ‘Beyond Calories’ guide as well. You also get a 60 day money back guarantee provided by their payment processor so you know you have something to fall back on should the need arise. |
Fat Loss 4 Idiots Review – The Good & The Bad:
Pros
- Encourages sensible eating
- Caters to vegetarians with specific meal plans
- Allows one glass of wine a day and you get 3 days off after 11 days of dieting so you can plan parties around that etc
- Online meal generator allows you to choose the foods you like the most to be included in the plans, and gives you a good structure you can follow
Cons
- Although the meal plans can be varied there will come a time when you get bored and you have tried them all multiple times (for the ones generated by the software, the ‘Beyond Calories’ diet has more flexibility)
- Gives you 3 actual diets so it is confusing, we recommend just using the one generated by the software then the ‘Beyond Calories’ system if you get bored of that one
- The first diet, the ‘casual’ one, has no enough structure and it is too easy to break the rules (but they do say it is casual and it does give good rules to help you eat healthily for the long term)

Customer Support |
|
Email support is provided, we sent a test question at 14:24 on a Monday and received a reply back at 16:28 the same day, so 2 hours and 4 minutes to reply! However in the guide it says they cannot answer any diet related questions (like ‘is this food in group 1 or 2?’) just give technical support, which is a bit disappointing for such a popular diet which sells so many copies. |
