How Can I Shape Up My Butt?

We are all concerned about our appearance nowadays, we want to look good and get attention from the opposite sex because it makes us feel good. One area lots of people are sensitive about is their gluteus maximus, or commonly known as your butt!
It is a prominent part of our body and to really look great on the beach then having a tight round butt is a must. So what can you do about it? The first thing you need to realise is that spot reducing is a myth, so any pill or patch or exercise that is supposed to reduce fat there is just leading you on.

We all have fat cells that store fat in different places on our body making our ‘fat profile’ unique. There is little you can do about it if your body decides it likes to store fat on your behind apart from lose fat from all over your body, this will cause a certain amount to be lost from your butt so you can make it as small as possible.
Then you need to think about toning it, even if you don’t have much fat on your behind then if it is saggy then it is not going to look good, toning can really help you to get the most out of your god given shape so you can start turning those heads at the beach!

Most of us do so little exercise it is pathetic, I mean we hardly move anymore, and it is a shame because most kinds of exercise can help you to really tone your butt, such as stair climbing, that could be real stairs or just on a machine. Or things like running, swimming etc can all help out and will tone the whole area including your lower back and the tops of your legs to smooth out your whole lower body profile.

Then you can try some squats which can work wonders for your butt. Start off standing with your legs shoulder-width apart and then slowly lower yourself down as if you were going to sit down on something until your thighs run parallel to the floor. Then push slowly up again to the starting position. Keep your back straight and don’t let your knees push forward which is a common mistake people make.

Make sure you do it slowly and in a controlled fashion, no knee jerking fast movements! Start off just using your bodyweight but as you get more experienced then you might want to hold some dumbbells in your hands as you do it to increase resistance.
Probably the thing that will make the biggest difference at first is to lose that extra weight, all the toning exercises in the world will not help if your butt muscles are still covered in lots of excess fat.
