Intro: Peppermint is probably one of the best known herbs, however I am not exactly sure when you would use it in cooking. I guess you could use it in a curry, however the use that I always think of when I think of peppermint leaves is in a cocktail when it can provide a refreshing tang to the drink, or as a herbal teabag and I have heard that peppermint is good to sooth an upset stomach and just aid digestion in general. Or you could use it to make your own ice cream etc, although I am not too sure how that would turn out, you would probably be better buying peppermint oil than putting actual leaves into that.

This herb is actually a hybrid between watermint and spearmint and was first documented in 1753, it was native to Europe but is now grown around the world and is a popular flavor for mints and chewing gums.
