Intro: Potato is an ok ingredient for soup, although I prefer chunks of it in a good vegetable soup rather than one like this which uses it as the main ingredient. The thing about potato is that unless you are roasting them in oil or turning them into chips etc then they just don’t have that much taste, so in turn this cream of potato soup probably won’t have much taste either. However die to the subtle taste then it is a good soup to season with some herbs and spices like paprika and pepper to help liven it up.

Nutritionally then this is pretty similar to the other creamy soups we have looked at, although one area is does differ is that this has a far lower fat content than the other creamy soups we have looked at, with only about 2% fat compared to nearly 6% for the cream of chicken one we looked at before.
