Intro: Regular beer… how many cans can someone go through in a night? 10? I spoke yesterday about the hidden calories in your drinks, and that was with light beer with only 100 calories in, this regular beer has 150 calories in it! Think if you had 10 on a Friday and a Saturday, and say 5 others throughout the week, then you are talking 25 x 3,750 calories extra per week you are consuming.

Now assuming that you don’t burn any calories off through the act of consuming that beer (you are not dancing for instance) then suddenly you are putting on a pound of fat per week! I know a lot of factors go into weight gain and this is only a rough guess, but to put on or lose a pound of fat you need to eat or lose 3,500 calories, that is the generally accepted figure, so if you are now consuming 3,750 calories more per week in beer… suddenly it starts to add up, especially when you get into your 30′s and your body sort of gives up and everything you eat makes you put on weight!
