Item: Blueberry Pie
Category: Baked Products
Refuse: 0% (values below are for edible portion)
Serving size analysed: 125g, 1 piece

Intro: Blueberries are really good for you because they contain anthocyanins, antioxidant pigments and various phytochemicals that have a wide range of benefits including possibly reducing the risk of some cancers (according to Wikipedia). The most important part I think is the antioxidants which help to mop up all the free radicals that are in our bodies which can damage cells.

The problem though is that if you just looked at the values below you don’t see those beneficial nutrients because they don’t seem to be part of the normal tests the USDA did. In fact if you compare the apple pie against this one then the apple one probably looks more nutritious!

So if you have a choice of any pie, then I would choose blueberry, because the taste is really unique and scrumptious, and it contains all those hidden nutrients which can help to keep you healthy.
