Intro: When you are eating an ice cream in a cone, have you ever thought about how healthy the cone was? We always tend to worry about how healthy ice cream is, but the cone is just something to hold it in, so we don’t think about it even when we are crunching our way through it! The wafers you put in a bowl of ice cream are a different matter, they are a piece of the dessert and we notice them. So how healthy is that ice cream cone?

Well in fact the cone weighs so little it is not that unhealthy! Considering something like an average muffin like the one we looked at yesterday has about 30g of carbs in it, then this cone only has 3.16g. Of course that is over 90% by weight which is huge! But as long as you don’t eat a box of them then you won’t overload yourself on the carbs. They don’t contain much else, a bit of fat, protein and fiber, and even some vitamins and minerals in really small amounts.
