Intro: Ah gingerbread, I think we have all had a gingerbread man in our time haven’t we? I actually really like gingerbread (which is actually just a ginger biscuit) because it is crunchy when it is cold so it is great to have with some tea, yet if you get it when it is hot then it is all soft and gooey which is even better! (if they bake gingerbread at your local supermarket then find out when it is usually ready and time your visits accordingly).

Plus it has that sharp ginger taste and warming sensation too so it isn’t just a sweet biscuit. Ginger is also very good for you and is a natural anti-inflammatory agent, so you can feel a bit better about munching down on those biscuits.

In terms of nutritional value then in fact it is similar to chocolate cake, except it has slightly less carbs in, more water, and more fat. Although you don’t really eat as much gingerbread in one sitting as you do chocolate cake.
