Intro: If you like bananas then you will love banana bread! Just like the name suggests, this is basically bread with lots of overripe bananas worked into the mixture to give it a really sweet taste and a thick cake like texture. In fact I always think of it as a cake and treat it like one (i.e. have a slice with a coffee) rather than bread, but I have heard of people toasting slices of this, and toasted banana bread with butter on and strawberry jam sounds really good at the moment!

To make this all you need is some flour, salt, brown sugar, butter, baking soda, eggs and of course lots of yummy overripe bananas! Then basically you mix together the flour, baking soda and salt in one bowl, then mix everything else up in another one. Then mix them both together and put the result into a lightly greased loaf pan and cook for an hour at about 350 degrees F.

Once it is done then cut it up and find your own favourite way to serve up this yummy treat!
